TROUBLING ABSTRACTIONS

"Troubling Abstractions" is my attempt at applying the ideas of "Find Laura" further into "The Return."
If an interpretation does not satisfy or something appears to be missing, remember that this is only Version 1.0. This version was written episode-by-episode, and I expect more clues to come to light after we’ve had a chance to examine each episode, step back, and look at the puzzle as a whole.

Episode 4

The "Find Laura" essays ended about halfway through Episode 4 of "The Return." Part 0 of Troubling Abstractions covers the last half of that episode.

Episode 5

Dougie goes to work. The Silver Mustang gets a new manager. Dougie loses a car and Mr. C makes his phone call. Contains spoilers for "Mulholland Drive."

Episode 6

Dougie tucks Sonny into bed. Diane gets a whole new look. Richard watches a coin trick and invents a disappearing act of his own. Contains discussion of child death. Contains spoilers for "Sunset Boulevard."

Episode 7

Constance gets a surprise visitor, The Roadhouse gets a phone call, and Mr. C finally catches a break. Contains spoilers for "Mulholland Drive."

Episode 8

Ray goes for a drive, Mr. C gets caught reminsicing, boy meets girl.
